Photo of the Day, #173

Hint: It's not grass
It's the end of the month! How fast time flies when you are having fun! But it also means that summer is half over. Today is also the last day of the month before I tally July's top scorers list. And because I feel like it, I will be rewarding 2 points for today's correct answer. This thingamajig is most commonly found outdoors. At certain times of the year, it could be found indoors. It has a distinctive scent. What is it?

P.s If you haven't voted yet, today's the last day to do so! :D

Photo #172 Revealed

They were raspberries.
And it's true! Besides the red varieties, they also come in yellow, black and purple. Black raspberries often get mistaken as blackberries, but they are two different fruits and don't taste the same.

P.s Points will be rewarded to those that said "raspberries." Those that guessed berries, will not be given the points. Sorry. You play by my rules! ;)

It's Friday! Hope it's nice and sunny where you are, like it is here! It's a gorgeous day! Today's thingamajig is a very common household object. Most people use this once a day, often at night.  This is something that kids shouldn't be playing with. If not used properly, someone can easily get hurt. What is it?
